Watched and enjoyed Longlegs the other night, with the engaging Maika Monroe - she of It Follows - and a heavily prostheticised (is that a word?) to the point of being unrecognisable Nic Cage.

Monroe is a fed with semi psychic powers trying to track down Longlegs, a mysterious serial killer (Cage). It's not very scary but quite compelling, with Cage in classic unhinged form.

7.5/10.

American Fiction.
Satire about the depiction of black people in the media. Was surprised how clever and funny it was while still being fairly easy going fare.
7.5/10

Nice one. That's based on a Pervical Everett book. He's a really funny writer. well worth a go if you haven't read him

The Amy Whitehouse movie on Netflix, reviews aren't great but I loved it. So sad and destructive, what a waste of a beautiful talent, the poor girl. Her own worst enemy with zero support from those around her.

Watched two movies tonight.
Aibigail- Silly, lightly gorey horror flick. Better not to know too much tbh. 7/10, maybe 6.5 if your not in the mood.
Time lapse (2014) low budget movie about discovering a camera that takes photos 24 hrs into the future. A few plot flaws like always in this type of movie and the twists were a bit ropey but good enough all the same.
7/10, maybe 6.5 if unlike me this kind of sci fi isn't your thing.

Good mindless movie that no doubt is 'based' on a true story.
The kid watched it all with us so that's worth at least another point.
