truly awful way to go, r.i.p.
Sad to see. Struggled with a terrible disease and his later years must have been hell for him and his family. Only 43 years old for a guy who was once so fit. :-(

The local media fawned over him and as a result he got huge latitude in the media where other managers would have been shown the door, certainly by the end of his second unsuccessful season.
