I used really like the Spailpin when I was in college. It was always full of international students and they had great trad sessions. They'd come around with baskets of cocktail sausages and chips during the evening which was great for us broke students.

Anyone remember the man that was always there, he had a mild English accent and while I don't think he actually worked there you'd sometimes see him in the bar. He was literally always there, his name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember it

Cristoir. He worked there alright. Did the bottles, stock, glasses. Nice fella, stone mad. Passed away a few years back.
