I went into the Fountain Bar and Grill in the Oliver Plunkett Quarter for a pint there.
I haven't had a particularly good day so was feeling a bit down and looking forward to a pint and a podcast.
When I went to pay for my pint the barman took his bank card out and said "this is on me", and paid for my pint.
A very nice gesture. I wonder did he sense that I was a bit glum, or was it strategic. Has word got around that I'm on the market and am hot properly in the bartending scene? A free agent, ready to be snapped up by the highest bidder in the next transfer window?
