Pubs reopening June 29th

Interesting stuff - there are some wild prices on there for a pint of plain. My brother lives in Sunday's Well and says that there's a fair few pubs around the Northside (not included on that map) which boast ridiculously cheap prices. Pubs like Eugene's, The Residence, Hoggy's and The Old Reliable .

Any of my fellow booze brethren* come across a "regular's price" for a pint? Few pubs in my own locale appear to be doing it - 30-50ct cheaper. Not an OAP discount either. It was explained to me explictly as a price for good regulars.

I'm not sure how you become a regular to the point of getting the discount however. Looking at the boys** who do get the reduced rate - I'll have to stain my fingers brown with tobacco and colour my hair a hue of monkey-piss yellow to have any chance.

*not including female drinkers on this because I have noticed that women do not give a shit about how much things cost - least of all pints.

**women don't darken the doorstep of the shitholes that I'm talking about.

I was in The Old Reliable recently, and Eugene's. Haven't been in the Residence in years. Hoggy's? Cant say I know it, under that name anyway.

Was in the Welcome Inn earlier in the week and was in company with guys who have the OAP arrangement (not all of them over 65), and happily got the OAP price

Ball is in your court now Benny

I know a fella in his 30s who gets OAP price in Bennys pubs. It knocks a whole €1 off the price, allegedly.

€1 is some discount. Far better than the Hyde Out with their "20c cheaper for regulars" shite. 20c ffs.

I can't name him though for legal reasons

Horgan's Bar - not far from The Residence.

Rommel Horgan, sound as anyone you'll meet in the pub game, still runs Hoggy's and I think that his sister runs The Residence.

It's near The Joshua Tree.

All pubs that I haven't spent very much time in but have always had a great time when I have been in.
