Pubs reopening June 29th

No bother. Danny was both a gentleman and a scholar I drank a few pints with himself and his son over the years and you could not be in better company. He previously rowed around Ireland with another great character from the area Ger O Ciobhán along with a trip to Iona more recently.
In addition to his journeys Danny Sheehy wrote some wonderful poetry and a number of books such as Iomramh Bhréanainn and Fan Inti there was also a connection with Liam O Maonlai FROM Hothouse Flowers.

Liam was in the boat when it capsized. He's spoken a bit about the trauma of it.

Fierce sad

Wendall and Stumpy started in Dublin, went to Kilkenny, Cobh and ended up in The Mutton Lane drinking Beamish.

They even were in the Rave Cave lol.

The geezer Jesse with the kneecap hat I swear he was outside the oval on Wednesday. I thought to myself "oh Jesus it's a leftard with a kneecap hat"

Ibelieve Liam has a house down in that neck of the woods
Yes, in Dún Chaoin, looking out onto the Blaskets. Probably one of the nicest views in the world on a clear day yet on a foggy day you wouldn't be able to see 2 feet ahead of you.

A metaphor if you like for the type of writing that came out of the island. Peig Sayers would win the foggy days title for her no frills tale of woe.

Krugers is a lovely pub on the tip of Europe enjoying a new lease if life in the last few years thanks in no small way to the Local Link service it has a great day trade but dies a death in the evening.
