Pubs reopening June 29th

Thought The Palace was on Fleet Street? One of the truly great pubs in dublin imho.

I just googled the Palace on Camden Street and its been changed to The Camden now but I think the nightclub element of it might still be called the Palace

Its exactly the opposite of the Palace Bar EnnisY is talking about - a massive airport hanger sized place full of neon lights, shit music, and massively overpriced beer

It's a Wetherspoons now I think?

It's just across from the Bleeding Horse, which is a great spot.

I went to a gig in the National Stadium a few years ago. Had a rake of pints in the Horse before strolling up to Harold's Cross and having a quart in 57 The Headline. Yer man Geoff who ran that is some prick.

God I was depressed out of my mind back then. December 2019. I nearly ended it all.

Good times

No, its further down Camden Street across from Flannery's, feels like someone like McGregor bought it and fit it out. I always hated places like that

The inside looks like this.. horrible:

Bookings — The Camden

Looks awful.

McG attempted to buy a certain place in Cork City centre but thankfully wasn't successful.
Yeah, and thats only one of the bars in there.. its one of them places that has probably 6 or 8 bars in it, hence me suggesting it would be a heavy hitter in terms of volume sold there. Id say its rammed a good few nights a week

Actually, Ive just had a flashback to pints after the office Christmas dinner/night out a few months ago.. we ended up in the Palace for some reason and they have screens all around the dance floor with these kind of stick/cartoon people showing you how to dance to the tune they are currently playing there.. this fascinated me at the time :lol!:

Do yourself a favour though and instantly forget about it again now.. if you were in that neck of town Id walk on a small bit further down Aungier Street and drop in to The Swan where they will serve you a creamy Beamy or tankard of Clockwork :)

My mistake,,, apologies.

I meant to put it that it's not staying as it's current format.
No apologies needed, but apologies if my tone came across wrong as well.
Will be interesting 100% to see plans and drawings though if front facade etc stays same and some of same layout.
The trade the carvery would do with the plans would be unbelievable.

Not that I often got the aircoach to Dublin but if ever needed to in future will be from here in for a quart first.
