They served this melt from up the country who made a video of herself sipping a pint of Beamish before leaving most of the pint behind and falling out the front door

A normal punter would accept the decision, but no, let's try get a good barman fired because he didn't get his way.

It's a hard job. You can refuse someone a drink in a pub, rightly or wrongly once it's done with respect.

At least back in the day, it'd be over once you got someone out the door - these days, it doesn't end there - now disgruntled patrons can tell a heavily-weighted version of their side of the story on the internet and the "sure god love us" brigade who never pulled a pint in their life will pile on calling for a person to be sacked, demanding a name-and-shame, a boycott of the premise and then going back to playing Candy Crush or looking at photos of other people's dinner on Instagram never once giving another thought to the post.

Fuck them. Fuck the lot of them.

I'd have liked to see the treatment this lad would have gotten in the same venue back when it was Snotty Joe's.

Benny and Leo behind the bar. It was like watching a real life game of Double Dragon if someone got out of hand.

There's a brilliant story involving a scumbag in a tracksuit shouting abuse in the door of Snotty's but I'll let Ikari tell that one... if he wants to.

As many may know, I'd be a big fan of Benny and his pubs.

But that place is a fucking dump. I love pubs, and I love classic Cork pubs, and for Ziggys to be ripped out of Cork and replaced by that soulless kip is actually sacrilege that is unforgivable.

That reddit poster sounds like a bit of a drama queen, but if you were to show me that post with naming the pub, I think I'd still manage to guess where it is.

The last time I was in there, there was a young one who seemed bothered that I wanted to order a drink. She was too busy conversing with her friends who looked borderline underage.

Awful place I hate it. Zero character. It probably survives on overflow from the oval and the fact that Tuckey street is pedestrianized
