It’s pish!
I had a few Guinness yesterday in the leafy suburbs of Ballsbridge prior to the cup final and it’s ghastly stuff altogether.
I couldn’t wait to get into Grogans for some Beamish and a lamp of the hipster totti
I was in the Horse show before as it was handy for taking the big crowds and had 2 pints in Mary Mac’s after.Where did you go in Ballsbridge? I used work there and all the lads used go to Paddy Cullens and Mary Macs. I hated both, I'd walk a bit further and go to Searsons or Arthur Maynes.
We're up up for the South Africa game in a few weeks and I'm thinking we'll drink in Blackrock and just get the Dart in and out. No hanging around in Ballsbridge or anywhere like that.
Do you know where is nice actually and has just occurred to me as an option for that day. Sandymount. Two nice pubs there and very close to the Aviva
Fair play to you sorting that youngfella, there were a few on rag order alright. One of the corner boys was standing on the steps of the terrace at the end of the match trying to sing ‘we’re from cork and we’re better than you’ and couldn’t actually manage to string the 8 words togetherI was in the Horse show before as it was handy for taking the big crowds and had 2 pints in Mary Mac’s after.
We were on a bus organised by the Cork City fan club and when making our way back to it we found a young fella in an awful state so basically carried him back to the bus parked in the RDS which slowed us down a lot, by the time we got to the RDS the bus left without us so into town we went had another few and got a late Citylink home, bit of an adventure but we made it.
Nice of that young fellas buddies to leave him behind![]()

They’d bring the pint into you if you asked them.
Absolutely no chance I was leaving that kid behind in Dublin, we missed our bus over him but I’m happy we made sure he got back to Cork.Fair play to you sorting that youngfella, there were a few on rag order alright. We were in close quarters, I had a few Guinness in the Horse Show House myself beforehand, that were absolute shite. We didn’t find a ruined youngfella afterwards so had a few in the Bridge Hose, very nice and very expensive!

All in all a top top establishment it has to be said, we are very lucky in Cork really
We were in the 51 pub Haddington road and it was nearly 8euro for a lager. Don't know how people go out as often as they do tbh.Absolutely no chance I was leaving that kid behind in Dublin, we missed our bus over him but I’m happy we made sure he got back to Cork.
Ya Jesus almighty the price of drink, I got 4 pints of Guinness in the Horse show handed over a 50 note and got back a 20 a few coppers ffs
