Pubs reopening June 29th

Did you complain about it? Any bar person worth their salt will pour you a new one to make amends - unless the punter is being unjust/unreasonable.

A million billion years ago I had a fella say to me;

"That oul pint of Murph's here is fierce soft. Would you mind replacing it?"

"Is it, yeah? Looked alright for the first three quarters of it that you drank."
Course I didn't! If they can't do their job without coaching I'm not going to tolerate it! 😡

I was designated driver during a night out over the Jazz weekend and was surprised that I couldn't get Guinness Zero in a couple of official Guinness Jazz outlets. Some change from back in the day when you could only get Guinness products in such venues. They had Heineken Zero or Moretti/Peroni Zero but no Guinness Zero

Got a bottle of corona zero in the imperial last Friday and was €7, crazy price
I don’t think they had Guinness zero too

A fuckin' soft pint, Mange! Jesus Christ. Why do I have to expl...

A mawkish, not fully-formed stout. One, where if you tilt the glass, the head will start sliding over the edge.

Right then!

Im not sure I've ever encountered a pint that wouldn't settle, maybe I just haven't had enough of them! Ive seen the opposite many times where you get an anaemic pint that just about makes a head, and obviously the pint with too much head (har har)

I'll have you know that I was awarded a certificate in Guinness pint pulling one year by Guinness! The gobshites sent a quality team down to the jazz and into the main venues on the Thursday to make sure the quality of the pint being served was adequate. The thing was that we got to drink the ones that hadn't worked out perfectly so it took a while but eventually everyone managed a good one and got awarded for their efforts. No one mentioned soft pints at that either though

I wandered in to Annie Mac's on Sunday evening about 9pm.

It's not a pub that I'd go to regularly but I was coming home from a poor gig, hadn't had a drink all weekend and felt like one on the way home.

It was dead in there - the two barmen and maybe 5 customers. I was about to leave but I decided to just have the one.

I was handed this objet d'art. Stupendous. As was its sibling. Well... a bird never flew on one wing.

Now I want a pint of Guinness.

For the love of FUCK!

Mange, I worked in pubs for years so your story there is like telling a hardened, three-tour, PTSD-stricken 'Nam vet that you saw "Platoon" on telly once.
