Pubs reopening June 29th

I'd a mate down from Navan yesterday and we met for a few pints after the gig.

Started in the Gables and before we knew it we needed a late bar.

My first time in Barbarossa, I was very impressed. It's like a respectable late bar for people in their 30s and 40s. Lovely pint of stout too which we had outside with a few cigars. I was able to point out Corks latest pub across the road, which sadly was closed.

After a while we went to the Oak as I wanted my friend to experience it. It was actually class, mad old crowd in but it was quiet enough that we could sit at the bar, and the staff were sound out.

That was my first night out in town in a long time, and I loved it.

Pity the Fountain was closed though. 😪

Yeah MOE - and Dan's the Queen of Sheba

I don't drink in town, I only drink in and around Douglas Street, and the South County.

I have the very occasional afternoon pint at the weekend if I'm in town, but you won't catch me in a pub there generally

You a different MOE to the guy who told us he was in The Fountain last Thursday before the place was even officially open?

MOE ffs, stop digging when you see the kangaroo's feet :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Yeah I got off the train from Dublin and my friend, a publican, said he was going in to have a look at the place and did I want to join him. We had one pint in there, then one in Walshes, and then I went home

You're as abstemious as me so 😜

Edit: For the record, Dan is still the Queen of Sheba though

I felt bad for my friend, coming all the way to Cork and not getting to have a pint in The Fountain.

That's like going to Egypt and not seeing the pyramids.

In fact I'd go as far as to say that his trip to Cork was a complete waste of time.

Jaysus MOE, for a guy who never even goes out in town you're trying awfully hard to secure a free pint or two from Benny :ROFLMAO:
