Didn't get to see Chic, but Duran Duran were absolutely outstanding.

Most bands when doing live gigs do the songs before they were meddled with before release, so tend to sound a bit different.

Duran Duran though sounded exactly like they did in the 80's.

Considering most of them now in their 60's, with Simon Le Bon being 66, it was just an unbelievable gig.

Absolutely fuckin delighted that we went.

It was brilliant. Loved the white suit and Nick Rhodes' get up. He's the youngest of them but looks like someone's granny

Yous are lucky ye went to Duran Duran and not Bonamassa.

I'd be a massive Bonamassa and Rorz G fan but it was one of the most disappointing gigs I've ever been to.

It was basically 1 hr 45 minutes of Bonamassa improvising, with the occasional Rory riff or chorus thrown in to remind the audience what the actual theme was.

He ruined A Million Miles Away. Complete sacrilege.

The thing itself was like a feckin funeral. The whole,"I go to one concert a year" crowd assembled en masse and they wouldn't have known the difference if Joe did a set of Rory McIlroy covers.

I was back in the local by half 10 and got a carry out to drink at home as I was so pissed off about the gig that I wanted a few drinks to forget it.

As an aside, I'm going to the Fountain tonight to meet a friend who is down for tonight's show.

Sorry to hear that MOE, Joe is an excellent guitarist but it really disappoints when it just doesn’t click

I was on mccurtain street coming home from work and town had some buzz about the place with Bonamassa, loads of fans around.

Tickets were €84 including a "collectors ticket" that hasn't arrived yet.

Great buzz around the place all the same though. It'd be great to have more artists of this calibre in Cork, but unfortunately Aiken have the ambition of a Vauxhall league footballer when it comes to getting big acts to Cork.

Bit harsh on the audience no? If they were only one-concert-a-year crowd they surely wouldn’t have wasted it on a tribute-act.
