Pubs reopening June 29th

That's basically the script to Coyote Ugly

I've never seen it.

The gaff that I'm talking about was once compared to the Mos Eisley Cantina Bar from Star Wars by a local newspaper - "A hive of scum and villainy".

A good dive bar is a wonderful thing. The Hawthorn isn't a proper dive though, its just kinda lost.

Also, if you're going to have a fight, Dragula is a fine fine soundtrack!

I never said The Hawthorn was a dive.

The Hawthorn is a kip. It's not even a proper pub.

Noel's is a dive. Mok's is a dive.

Christ. I wish Noel's or Mok's had a jukebox.

I should be thankful that they both have running water.

I like a dive bar, but in fairness in a dive the drink should be much cheaper than anywhere else.

For example Fredz is a complete and utter dive, then spend zero on upkeep, but the price of the gatt is as expensive as anywhere in Cork.

Callanans is also a dive but and in fairness the drink is much cheaper than anywhere else. How much is a Beamish in there these days? 4 euro?
