Pubs reopening June 29th

Great point re the Ukraine flag, It certainly seems to be that some conflicts matter more than others in the eyes of some

I don't get the insincerity around Ukraine.

When they were invaded we were all behind them. Putting Ukranian flags on our MySpace pages etc. Pubs such as Nanas and Fred Zeppelins even held benefit nights for Ukraine.

Then we just got bored of them and moved onto Palestine instead, despite that Ukraine war being as destructive now as it was 3 years ago.

Is the housing crisis to blame? Or is there some reason we should be supporting Palestine more than Ukraine?

You don't see Ukraine tshirts for sale in the English market.

Vast majority of irish people showed solidarity with Ukraine, We have a cohort of politicians who would be in the Putin camp,

Flags keep the issue in the public domain, without the protests etc we’d likely forget about it to some extent and that would have an impact on charity donations.

I do wish we’d see more Ukrainian flags however we’ve played our own part in the response by taking in so many refugees.

I think with anything it can be very hard to know where to focus your attention. There's only so much time, or money, or even energy anyone has and can give. At least some people do some things. There's others who may be happy to sit on their arses and do SFA. Whether that's because they have their own stuff going on or because they're bad people you can't really know. To be honest I think everyone has something messing them up a little, some people have a lot. You have to try, in some way, though. It's what makes life worth living. It's a joyful thing.

Any lads here heading to Canty’s today? It’s the type of weather for sitting outside it in the glorious sun and watching passers by. I’ll be in there shortly.
It's a gorgeous day, isn't it?

I just went for a stroll to the shops to get some coffee. Feeling the sun on me. I'd join you outside Canty's but I'm not heading into town today, I'm bate from my night last night. I need a holiday, soon. A staycation in Ireland so hopefully the weather holds.

Moe the key thing here is that there is no denial out what’s going on in Ukraine but in relation to Gaza some people believe pictures of emaciated kids at deaths door is fake news crazy
