Pubs reopening June 29th

I remember someone giving out he raised the pint 5c to pay for it.
Could be waffle.
Great idea though for the customers.
?
Prices weren't raised afaicr. There would have been a lot of complaints as loads of regulars lived within walking distance like me.?
It was a great Christmas service though as it went around Model Farm Rd also afaicr.
Customers could drink without driving. ?

?
Not at all man.
Back in the 1980s an 90s the lounges in The Bishoptown Bar, Viscount, Outpost and Wilton used to do a roaring trade. I know because I frequented them often enough. The walk home wasn't that long unless one lived out in Curraheen.
I'd have gone to the Outpost and Viscount in the 90s and 00s and the bars (90% plus men) were busy seven nights a week but not the lounges. You'd bring the girlfriend or the missus in town for a drink. The pub scene in Bishopstown went on the slide about 20 years ago. The Bishopstown Bar went for the transient student market. The Outpost was seeing a dwindling number of old timers prior to March 2020 and the Viscount is long gone.

True about the slide in the last 20 years. When JK had The Bishopstown Bar both lounge and bar did a roaring trade of men and women of various ages. The Outpost lounge was a younger crowd. The Viscount lounge was similar to The BB.

4 Irish pubs.

Gravedigger's is 10th
Dick Mac's 17th
Grogans
Tig Bhric in Ballyferriter

I've never made it to Grogans bit the others are good in fairness (although like many of these things not necessarily any better than a two dozen other places I've been in)
