That's when it broke into the Cork market!

It's what I find is the best thing with Wetherspoons here in the UK. I used to hate going there as the service at the bar was atrocious.Nah its been there a while.
They won an award for it

I'm not sure subsidy is the right word, Scottish and Newcastle just decided to take on Guinness and Murphys on price, they changed the recipe and standardised the process to make it more consistent and something in-between Guinness and Murphys by taking out all the burnt flavour Benny had in the original MeDaza.Beamish has a subsidy that has carried over from a marketing campaign back in the 90s.

Do they ever advertise either of their stouts? I can't remember any Beamish marketing campaign since it went to Heineken. Young people seem to love Beamish. Probably helped by the price of it. Heineken put a lot of marketing energy into the now axed Irelands Edge, when they already have a couple of well known stouts.I'm not sure subsidy is the right word, Scottish and Newcastle just decided to take on Guinness and Murphys on price, they changed the recipe and standardised the process to make it more consistent and something in-between Guinness and Murphys by taking out all the burnt flavour Benny had in the original MeDaza.
They then marketed it as the sub prime option along with Fosters on the Lager side
When Heineken took it on in 2008 tye sense was one of the brands would be killed off. I'm glad they have been retained even if it's a feaux competition between the two and Guinness
It certainly is the future. In ten years time, you'll be able to go into a drinking emporium, order your drink with an 'app' and have it delivered to your table by a robot. No necessary interaction with human beings - a marvellous, dystopian future. It's what I find is the best thing with Wetherspoons here in the UK. Now with the app, it's incredible how the app has turned things around
How dependant are ye foe Diagio on things like Gas?Lovely letter from Diageo today upping Thur prices ,this is a 15c rise across all their pints and 20 c on “00” this will be on top of raises by the pubs re wages and auto enrolement ,
You can try and absorb these costs and bleed out over a year and have nice things said about you on Cork beo after you have lost your livelihood or you must put them up and hope you are still there in a few years,
I wonder will Heineken follow suit

Some one has to pay for the 30mill they are pumping in St James for 0.0. Consumers will always be the first inline.
