Problems getting into Chrome and Edge. Any suggestions?

Hello all,

I logged off my laptop as normal last night, but this morning when I logged in, neither Chrome nor Edge would open for me.

Edge is saying I may not have the appropriate permissions, and Chrome is saying that the "side by side configurations are incorrect"

Anyone know wtf this means and why it has suddenly happened out of the blue?

Thankfully I was able to get into my work system (and more importantly the PROC) through Firefox, but I'd like to get the other two sorted just in case Firefox decides to act up as well.

Try deleting Chrome & reinstall it. Same for Edge.

open a cmd as admin
type sfc /scannow
click enter
Let it run
reboot
