Fifa has enjoyed a few years as the best footballing computer game out there. It seems that this year Pro Evo 16 has mounted a decent challenge.

Both Pro Evo 16 and Fifa 16 hit the shelves soon and the early reviews seem to favour Pro Evo...

haven't played either in years. i always understood it as if you want a fun fast paced game it's evo and for a more realistic game it's fifa.

I'm a fan of both Fifa and evo.

I must say my favourite was the fast paced pro evo of a couple of years back. It may have been 2011 version.

The later editions have left me disappointed. Currently playing FIFA 2014 which is decent enough but prefer games that don't compromise entertainment for realism.

Much rather playing a game where my winger can take on about five players and slam it in the top corner. Too many releases of late has concentrated on realism and have taken the speed and enjoyment out of the game.

Remember a couple of years ago when you could slash the head off the ref?

Or when John O'Shea was on the cover of FIFA??!!

the recent fifa games have lacked that 'pick up and play' element. it seemed a massive grind to score a goal - work the possession, get the ball wide, cross it in... and 1 in ten times you might score. push it through the middle, sprint a bit, wait for support, 1 in 5 maybe.

most games i played would end up with max 2 goals in them.

so i have stopped.

Funny that, playing FIFA is about as close I get to playing competitive football since I was a teenager
