Popular holiday destinations you think are shit

I'd recommend a car for Malaga alright. Car hire is fairly reasonable for starters. There's some beautiful white villages in the mountains and you could also visit places like Nerja. Ronda is lovely but you'd be surprised at some of the other villages or towns you'd find in the mountains that would be less touristy. Some incredible spots.

I must be the only one who wasn't taken in by Granada. Although I was a bit off when I visited so that could have been it.

🙂
Apart from Turf Cutter's recommendations you could also visit Nerja and it's caves on the Eastern coast of the city. There are regular buses from the city centre down near the port. Plenty to see in Málaga too eg Picasso's birthplace and museum, Castillo Gibralfaro, La Alcazaba and Muelle Uno (port area). You don't really need a car for a week's stay
Where are you staying btw?
I hope you like fried fish which is a speciality in Málaga.
Any other questions and I'll be glad to help man.
P.S. May 1st is a national holiday here so transport timetables could be different and places like banks are closed.
Thanks a mill , staying in montano area central enough i think .
Fried fish yum thats sounds great to me.
Thanks re car , sometimes its more of a hassle anyways , just love exploring places and having odd drink seeing where u end up so dont want to be trying to find car after

You don't really need a car for a week and if you like a drink 🍷 🍻 it's probably not a great idea tbh.
Are you staying in a hotel or air b&b? Calle Montano is close to Plaza de La Merced which has some good restaurants and two of the bars there are excellent.

Lee , quick question . Any nice or decent biking area to hire /cycle?

Quick wan and topical. I was in Nerja the other day, Tuesday early and it was mobbed. It's not for me at all to be honest. Wondering where to eat, we drove up the highway to La Herradura and had a grand feed in El Rebelaje (a place we know and have been many times). Hardly anyone around the town. Went for a stroll then in Marina del Este next door and sat on an almost empty beach. Nice and quiet, and a way better ambience for us than Nerja. The "pueblos blancos" are nicer than Nerja anyway.
