Popular holiday destinations you think are shit

Going there soon. Any recommendations?
Since it was 25 years ago, attractions may have changed but…

Timanfaya national park has fantastic views and terrain and they do bbqs over the volcanic vents

North of the island, they have spectacular cliffs and beaches (not safe to swim mind you!)

A lot of of cesar manrique murals/paintings and other stuff related to him

A car is recommended to get around the island

🙂👍
Spot on about Málaga.
It's a great city. Ok there are too many air b&bs now but the city has it's Spanish charm unlike the Costa. Loads of places where the staff don't speak English and the food is for locals like me 😂. The city centre can be full of tourists but they have to go with the flow.
Depends on where you go prices wise though. However, I have it well sussed at this stage.
Granada is a wonderful city. I love it.
Sevilla is a beautiful city with cracking, beautiful girls but the Sevillanos l tend to be up their own arses about the place unlike Málaga or Granada.
Try Cádiz the next time you're here Crispy.
An absolutely brilliant city with great atmosphere and incredibly funny people.
Spending a week in malaga soon , is it worthwhile hiring a car or is there enough to see and do throwing in few bus tours outside city .any recommendations welcome tks

Depends on what you want to see. Lee will know more but they have a great train that goes out along the coast for probably 20 miles to Fuengirola. You can get a bus from there or Malaga as well to a lovely old trad village in the mountains called Mijas, breath taking views and could spend half a day up there. Nice Marina in Benalmadena along the way on the train also. Roman ruins around there, safari park etc. Train only costs a few euro. If you're only going a week and that appeals to you , wouldn't need a car I think.

Apart from Turf Cutter's recommendations you could also visit Nerja and it's caves on the Eastern coast of the city. There are regular buses from the city centre down near the port. Plenty to see in Málaga too eg Picasso's birthplace and museum, Castillo Gibralfaro, La Alcazaba and Muelle Uno (port area). You don't really need a car for a week's stay
Where are you staying btw?
I hope you like fried fish which is a speciality in Málaga.
Any other questions and I'll be glad to help man.
P.S. May 1st is a national holiday here so transport timetables could be different and places like banks are closed.
