Playlists For Me, Cork and No-One Else!

There's nothing like a good playlist, so here are some of mine! Straight from the heart of Paul St. 🖤

First off, "One For the Gurlies!" I made this to go with a novel I wrote.

The playlist starts off with some well known pop. Well known-ish... Gets into a bit of jazz soul at points with Alice Russell. Groove Armada, because why not? Some French stuff going on too, despite general, unspecified objections to the French. Strong Irish connections throughout. Lotsa dancing with a bit of a bop. And we all love the Sugababes, don't we? Don't we!?!

Cover photo taken at "The Civic Amenity Site" aka "The Dump" featuring Sweden's favourite shark. Shout out to the fellas there #Legends!

Coming up next in the playlists will either be a surprisingly modern take on Goth, emotional damage and rebellion, as well as love lost after staying up until dawn. Or possibly a trip through 1960's psychedelia with having your mind blown out in a car.
🍺🖤

As promised, my 1960s psychedelia playlist - In Your Head - Smile!

A little more obscure than the Sugababes inspired playlist. 😂 The song by Josefus might be from the 70s, it has that vibe but I'm not certain. Fairly sure everything else is the 1960s. Lots of American stuff, a few female vocalists as well, which the 1960s hippy scene was overflowing with. And all the beours at the top of their game, too.

The photo was taken in a mental health day facility in Cork, god love us. Some rot and decay for people trying to sort their heads out being reflective of what the Summer of Love was working against. ☮️💮

Peace out, freak out! 🖤 🍺

My Goth Dawn - Embrace the Darkness playlist.

A playlist dedicated to those long, stretched out nights, possibly involving substances, possibly involving multiple cups of tea, where you stay up until sunrise with the person you connect with, talking, hoping and dreaming. And when these times come to an end, the night gone, the people gone, and only the memories of them remain. This is a playlist for those nights. And our histories that shaped us, and haunt us. And create us.

Cover photo taken on Paul St. at about 5am on a Christmas morning, with a storm raging, and Cork soon to flood, of an isolated woman walking through the dark.
