The Rising Tide isn't a bad spot. It actually stays open after 6pm, which is well beyond the sleepy village of Glounthane.

Used to go there a bit up to the early 00s. Handy spot to meet someone for breakfast or lunch. Good food.

There can't be many old independent Cork restaurants left. Tung Sing was a big loss and that's still sitting empty a few years later.

Scoozi, Cafe Mexicana, Kelly's Kitchen are just a few of the remaining family restaurants in town.

If I could get any place to reopen, it'd be Route Fourteen out in Togher. What a spot. Food was outstanding. Lovely busy spot.
Granted, local to me, but not to take away from the quality of the food.

Last manager was a wreck, and definitely contributed to the downfall of the place. Not a fookin clue.

Such a shame now to see the place going to be knocked.
It's one beautiful building..
