No chance I'd say. The great man has enough dignity and self respect to walk away if he was being demoted to back up bloke after years of being head honcho!!
Imagine poor Peej walking in and Byrnsie saying "be a good lad and make me a nice cuppa, my show starts in 10 minutes"!!

Getting quarter of a mill for a 15 hour working week, I'd say he'd be able to negotiate a fine redundancy package - enough to see him buy a nice retirement pad in Lanza". He'd miss the freebies around town mind you!!

PJ had the morning off as his daughter was flying back to Oz. Fairly legit reason and a tough day for his family.

Definitely a more legit reason than taking a day off to skull pints in the South County!

That was yesterday!! I too tuned out!!
Surely he didn't run with this again today. Byrnsie was on at start of show with some report from Myrtleville and Fountainstown because the sun was shining for three days in a row! Thoiught he was presenting from studio as well!

Peej I'd say is old school. I'd say he used to head home from CCRÍ at lunch break for the dinner!!
