pj coogan show

Or that it applied to hospital consultants too who we are struggling to recruit and retain.
Judges getting pay rise will gain more traction with PJ's audience and Mick's voters than doctors having their pay restored!!

If government had stalled this for another 12m, Peej would have Mick on, spouting about the challenges facing the Health Service and how our top doctors and consultants need to be rewarded and have been badly let down by the government.

Tbf, wouldn't blame Mick. He is a politician and if he knows that a radio interviewer isn't going to worry about such things as facts, he might as well throw out the soundbites.

The population of Cork is 581,231.

Some two bit Murdoch owned dodgy mid morning talk radio station is primarily irrelevant to the vast majority of the population, based on their listener figures.

Although speaking of "figures," anything from a Murdoch owned media outlet should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Reach PLC, (CorkBeo) and Murdoch's News Corporation ("Cork's" 96FM) are about as relevant to what they call "Cawk" as Boris Johnson.

And of course, Meek Da Doob is exactly that: a Doob.

So you've a Doob mouthing off on a British radio station about pay restoration for senior Irish public sector workers most of whom are based outside Cork.

Now shut up and keep listening so that we can sell more adverts.

:lol!::lol!:

Must be July - Peej managed to get in the annual request that "dem politicians above in Dublin" continue in the dail over the summer recess to address cost of living crisis.

Every year, Peej comes out with this shite. This year via a listener but Peej's world weary tone suggested he agreed with the idea but that it would never happen!!
Peej well knows that any politician worth his/her salt has to use this time to catch up with constituency issues, answer queries etc and unlike Peej, lot of them won't be taking a two week break for "holidibobs" in Lanza or some other cheap booze destination to neck back unhealthy quantities of San Miguel and wine.
