Absolutely. It's nearly always the person with a deep interest who wants to "have a chat" and "talk about the issues" with you who has something else on his mind. While the guy who has the quiet word and says, "Be wide of that guy and let me know if he says anything and I'll bate the head off him," who has your back.

Very true. Hard to argue against the lady that spoke this am but wherever you draw the line, you'll get a genuine case just on the other side of it. Of course, easier for Peej (and media generally) to interview someone on the wrong side of line rather than speak to say young paramedic talking about how they'll be using the €1k to travel to Lanza or Longford for a holiday. Think in limiting it to clinical settings, they've got it as right as can be, excluding for instance the HSE jobsworths who spent the pandemic sitting at home, "working" remotely .
