We had another top class and sold out gig in The Roundy Laughs on Friday night. Thanks to anyone that came along, we are growing every month. We apologise to the dozens of people we had to turn away but we could not fit in anymore people to the room as it was jammed.
What we set out to do all those months ago is a few of the following things
1 Provide an intimate room where the best international/national and local acts could play and be seen by the people of Cork.
2 Have VERY reasonable door prices so we will never charge more than 10e no matter who is playing. This is what similar rooms charge in Dublin and it should be the same for the people of Cork, NO MORE! We also release tickets on Grabone which are 50per cent cheaper. So if your quick you can get tickets for just 5 euro. Also if you want to make a night of it we have an agreement with our neighbours in The CornStore restaurant where you can have a meal there and then get a 5euro ticket to the comedy next door. 3 Location, location, location we are located in the most central and also coolest part of Cork. It does not matter if you are Northside,Southside or country side. The Roundy is smack bang in the middle of town and it's a very convenient place to get to. We wanted this so anyone planning a night out or just passing can come in and join the fun. We would hope to get to a stage where people pass on any day look up at The Roundy and say "that place is great for a good night of laughter"
