Petrol/Diesel prices

Look at this fuckology. Contact the consumer watchdog? Can this gom not see it with his own two eyes? Arrogance at it's finest. As Roy might say 'it's his job'.

Just because the price has gone up significantly this week doesn’t mean there is gouging. Garages are being charged higher prices by their suppliers who are themselves being charged higher prices by the exporters/importers the buy the fuel from.

If there is gouging going on it’s much further upstream than the forecourts and likely not even taking place in Ireland.

Suppliers should surely be checked to see if they have had new deliveries since the "war" started .
If they are working off pre war date supplies and prices have gone up there is surely a suspicion of gouging or what is their explanation for price rises ,

Explain this so. He's your party leader.

The issue is is that they are selling their current stocks at the inflated profits, making a killing in the process

He is my party leader and he jumped the gun. Most of what you and I pay at the pump or for home heating oil is Government taxes. If they think fuel prices are too high the it’s because the Government have made it so.

Professor Aoife Foley was on the Tonight Show on Virgin Media the other night and she spoke about this. She pointed out that storing oil and petrol is very expensive and that we do not have the storage capacity in this country to store large volumes. She’s an engineer and an expert in renewable and sustainable energy so is certainly no fuel lobby lackie.

The CCPC will review this and I’m not expecting anything other than nothing to see here folks.

The CCPC will investigate that.

As I said above, I don’t think this is happening to the extent being claimed. Even if a forecourt widened its margin by 10c a litre for a few days, that’s €6 on a 60L tank or about €50 on a 1000L fill of home heating oil.

Prices have moved far more than that, which suggests the increases are coming from further up the supply chain rather than the local garage.

And now we are being told to report gouging to the consumer watchdog. What will happen then? Should the government (the ones we voted in) not be taking the lead here on behalf of all of us? It's a complete fudge by Harris suggesting we report gouging. He should be doing that on our behalf. They couldn't be bothered their holes doing anything about it.

Fuck the minions. Lets them suffer.
