He is right, it’s opportunistic along with gouging. Station owners hear war in oil producing countries and think customers will understand increase.
I doubt they have any cost increase if there is any got already

EVs out sold diesl and petrol here in january, That trend will continue , Hybrid IMO seems to be the way to go

That's a very long way off. EV range and charging infrastructure are still huge issues.

Yeah - still too many horror stories of people getting stuck when things go wrong with them, Adrian Weckler of Indo had a nightmare recently which mirrored a neighbour's experience, albeit neighbour was bit closer to home comforts when it happened.
