Nothing I can't stand more than people skipping the queue for passports.
If you booked a holiday but never checked the expiry date on your passport that's your own problem and you shouldn't think you should skip the queue if you produce plane tickets.
Worse still is them getting a TD involved.

This day and age with the passport office in Cork and on-line applications for replacement passport it's all pretty quick and seamless. Doubt there's many needing to skip a queue tbh

You realise you passport is expired when your flight is tomorrow and you march into the passport office and demand a passport quickly.

This day and age with the passport office in Cork and on-line applications for replacement passport it's all pretty quick and seamless. Doubt there's many needing to skip a queue tbh

That's fine, other countries (I have 4 passports) charge you a premium of 10x the cost if you want it within 24-48 hours
