Anyone know where the nearest place to Cork City, land or sea rather than above the clouds, from which last nights eclipse could have been clearly seen?

Down around Robert's Cove and Rocky Bay had a decent view, the cloud just about stayed away while we were there, otherwise it would have been around Midleton I think as it looked like blue skies to the east.

All ah ok in Granada last night but it didn't go completely dark. There's another one on the way in 2027 in Andalusia.

It was fairly cool to see in fairness, the birds were going a bit mental and the place went quite dark but you'd still be surprised how much light 4% of the sun gives. We didn't have glasses but loads of people did and were willing to share. I'd say a full eclipse would be well worth it!

My sister took this in one of the east cork villages.
