He lived in a high security estate so seems a bit suss but innocent till proven guilty

Why suss?

He lived in a housing area for the rich and famous, all of whom have massive residential security. If a burglar can get around, then it means their smart and serious about robbing you (or kidnapping etc) - hence overreaction, no?

EDIT- just read that the perimetre is a metre high electric fence on top of 3 metre high wall.
It IS suss.



But yeah, a lot of information will probably come it in the coming days. For a start, I'll bet ex-girlfriends will start selling their stories to the tabloids, for better or worse.

As I said, international news reports say arms, but sources in Pretoria are posting on Twitter saying it's the chest and head.

If it's the latter, if it was her lungs then she couldn't scream.

Plus, be realistic. You could easily fire a few rounds before your brain could register a female voice if she did scream.
Maybe she did and it was too late.
Things happen fast, like!

What's the difference between reading tweets from journalists who are at the scene and waiting until they send the same information in an email to their editor, who, 20 minutes or so later, has it posted on the network's website?



Apparently he's been charged with murder.

09.22 Oscar Pistorious has been charged with murder. Police spokeswoman Sarah Mcira has confirmed that the 26-year-old has been charged. Police now have 48 hours to question him and continue investigations before he is brought before the court. Mcira adds that Pistorius could appear in court as early as this afternoon.
