Here's some factoid nonsense about that building. In the late 1800's it was an Eye Hospital, the 2nd in Cork. The 1st was across the river from the Opera House, on Camden Row. The 3rd was on the Western Road, the 4th (and current) in CUH and the 5th (and future) will be sited in a new building next to the breast check building by the old Victoria Hospital, as part of the South Infirmary.

You could be right Mer. I thought it was Lr Glanmire Rd near a pub called The Ferry Boat Inn.
