Official VAR thread

Saw Eddie Howe said today in his news conference he'd prefer to have no VAR. Said the first thing that comes into his head now when they score is, will VAR find something to chalk it off. Now he also said when they concede he can't help hoping VAR spots something.

But overall he thinks the game would be better off without it. His main reason being it's absolutely killed the joy of a goal. And the people that fill the stadium are the most important people in the game and if it's taking away from their enjoyment, it's a bad thing.

Just saw the Dalot incident on MOTD. They waved it away as "glancing" contact under review
How can you even begin to think that and stick with the opinion when watching multiple replays?

Spurs denied a penalty too and end up losing the game. Frank will lose his job regardless over the next few weeks but that doesn't help.
It's Spurs though so if they went 2-1 up they just as easily could have easily lost 4-2

See the "This is a better angle than in the Sky replay, and it is the frame the VAR used." comment from Dale Johnson above.

Aye, Utd got away with one there. I was convinced Dalot the Brainless was getting a red.

Crooked decision making at AFCON final. No VAR for Senegal goal a few minutes earlier. Senegal after walking from the pitch and they are right
