2nd place was valerie adams from NZ. NZ originally forgot to enter her in the olympics and they had to appeal to get her in.

she won gold in 2008.

how many track & fields atheletes have been caught? it seems very few this year. can we expect more now? how long does the sample testing take?

I only learned this yesterday, but this lad Yohan Blake, who thinks he's a tiger, served a ban for goofballs in 2009.

As you say, that is the main disappointment out of anything like this.

And they say they freeze the samples for up to 8 years, so that they might catch up with the cheats eventually, but i'm sure those who getting moved up a few years down the line won't be too excited at that point. Plus there is the potential loss of income a medal might have brought them in that period.
