Official NFL thread 2026/27

First Bengals drive of the pre season, he gets sacked. The bengals won but honestly the scores don’t matter.
Don’t read much into the first drive. We were experimenting a completely different style of offense under Burrow (under centre) which have rarely used in season. The sack wasn’t on the o-line either, it was completely on Burrow not getting rid of the ball. No injuries though which is the main positive.

New Bills stadium getting a lot of flack. I think it looks like a fantastic stadium but I guess that's an Irish guy looking at it in comparison to what we have here, Americans are used to a much higher standard when it comes to these things I suppose.

It was a bad play, teething issues with a new style of play. Burrow held it onto the ball too long. Only 2 receivers ran routes and they were almost on top of each other.

So the browns are the gift that keeps on giving. Watson has been named the starting QB and thinks it’s personal and not because of his play. He’s amazingly tone deaf.

And then the backup sheduer sanders missed the coin toss despite being named a team captain, and when asked about it gave this answer.

“I just thought I was the captain of the team for the week, you know? I didn't know I was captain of the coin toss."

Anyone going to this thing in the Aviva at the weekend?

I am genuinely flummoxed by how a college game can sell out a stadium in Dublin. Is it yanks, college alumni, or just Irish people who want to see an NFL game?

Don’t think this one sold out but the attendance at college games in the regular season are sell outs of 60-80k stadiums every weekend. It’s cult like stuff.

This one was a lower key one but next year has the crowd from Wisconsin and they will bring 25-30k

Aaron Donald is coming out of retirement with a one year $20 million deal.

Donald and Garrett on the one side is scary.

Seahawks beat the patriots last night to open the season. Drake maye had a shocker of a final throw. I’ve no idea what the plan was when they needed a FG to send it to over time.
