And seeing Pog yesterday won't have cheered Vingegaard up.

I was looking at a stage or two the other day, the old Dauphiné I think, with Del Toro. Fuck it lads, he looked like he hadn't broken a sweat. 8 or 9k climbing at 10%. No bother to him, no grimacing or any of that shite.

Quiet on here this year. Interesting start to the Tour with that funny Team/Not Team TT. I think it worked, fwiw. Then that nice Slovenian fella giving his bestie a stage win - Sure I have loads of em already. And today it seems without spectators - let's see how that works out - due to fire concerns amid the high temps. I see big calls to reconsider stage start times but the lads reckon it's too late for this year. It is one helluva logistics set up so I get that.

So much sport on this weekend that I only saw highlghts of the TTT - I agree C., it looked like a decent way to run it. Pog and Del Toro fairly spanked the lads yesterday but we'll see how it goes. Del Toro should defo be a regular player this year.

At least Vingo has taken a new approach this time around - "This Pog fecker is bating me every year, I have to try something different to see if I can prepare better for what he throws at me". Even if Pog wins again, at least the Dane is giving it a proper go with way more early season racing at aris-Nice and in the Giro. The Mrs seems well-relegated to the background as well - no more sh**e out of her about installing kitchens and how Vingo being away is killing the family.

Up the Pyrenees today - climbing coming early this year. Looks well scaldy on the road.

Col de Aspin and that little Tourmalet today. I'm guessing the big guns will have a go. Del Toro and Pog to attack on the second of those. Strange finish, long long drag. With teammates it should be ok but if you're dropped on the big one and find yourself behind a few UAE and Visma lads and without team, it could be a long 25k.

Yeah, it's a long, long C2 spin to the line. I assume the two big guns will move back up the GC and eat into the 7 minutes but I don't think there's enough challenge on the last 10k to have either of them drop the other.

Halfway up the Tourmalet and all the usual suspects are out front. The yellow jersey was dropped a few km ago and has lost 2 minutes already so I'd expect a change of wearer this evening.

Also a tailwind forecast for the descent so anyone dropped before the top will have a big job to get back on before the finish.

No sooner had I typed that than Del Toro and Pog surged to the front and have shredded the group to smithereens. Pog now gone off the front through La Mongie. This is ominous.
