Big changes, flipping hell. What happened Ayuso I wonder.

The old Mortirolo today but very far from the finish. Wonder will a GC lad still have a go though.

Today has breakaway written all over it, but this Giro has thrown up incredible drama, so don't be surprised to see the likes of Bernal, Storer, Gee try to make up time but I have a feeling young Pellizzari from Bora might have a go...

Del Toro possibly didnt have anything left in his legs but if he did I would blame his team bosses. There was a long period when the gap on the road was around 2 min leaving him 40 secs down on GC. That was the chance to recover the time but they seemed unwilling and unable to. Visma worked it very well having Wout ahead of Yates. Has been a great tour again- did I hear them say that Yates climbed the Finesteree 5 mins faster than Froome in 2018?

High Summer is offically here lads - the Dauphine kicked off yesterday, Jonas has come out of the long grass and the racing has begun.
Excellent stage yesterday, superbly analysed here

Healy in the mix too - but didn't make the final break.
