Think Ringmahon should've waited until after Cork played Galway in the hurling semifinal at least. That's only a few days time ffs.

Ringmahon had no choice. The deadline was set for yesterday. They were told that they couldn't re-arrange the game for any other day or time apart from that Sunday at 2pm, they couldn't play the match at home, they'd be losing money playing the game in Cobh, and they are out of season so will be missing players.

I've seen the Ringmahon statement since. Absolutely disgraceful spin put on it by a Galway "journalist" in the Irish Examiner, and reechoed on Morning Ireland this morning, as though "Cocky Cork are at it again".

Deplorable reporting and hopefully Ringmahon's statement will get ventilated far and wide AND Cork beat Galway as well.

And then shove it right up that "journalist" and his editor for printing it!

100% plus all the LOI groups on social media are calling for banning for ringmahon and sanctions etc. If people had read the statement first they would have been little talk about it.

They should be ashamed what logistically challenges would there be?quoting a potential Ireland Final and the World Cup final as factors…ridiculous.

Ringmahon are amateurs, and in their off-season. Why should they burn a five figure sum to play a home game away from home because the FAI and Bohs are being unreasonable?

The FAI have come down hard on Ringmahon Rangers for not fulfilling their FAI Cup fixture with Bohemians. Absolutely nobody has come out well from this shambolic episode.

- A five-year ban from participating in the Club Orange Men’s FAI Senior Cup
- A three-year ban from participating in the FAI Intermediate Cup
- Monetary fine of €5,000.
