I mentioned before that we've sponsored a player each season for around the last 8 seasons, and part of the sponsorship deal is at the end of the season you get a signed matchworn jersey from your player.

We still haven't got ours, months after the season ended. We've been told numerous times that it's in the post, and still nothing. In recent weeks it's been radio silence.

Meanwhile we're a few games into the season and they haven't contacted us to ask if we want to sponsor a player. In past years we'd be contacted early as existing sponsors get first preference on which player they want. Nothing. I suppose you can't approach someone for sponsorship if you haven't fulfilled your obligations for the last one.

An absolute shitshow. You'd think in the first division of all places they'd be looking for every cent.

Update on this. After all the silence and promises of "the jersey is in the post" they've admitted that our player had two sponsors for his away jersey last season and they've already given his jersey to the other crowd.

What a complete and utter joke.

It's bad enough that they did that, but to then lie to us and ignore us is infuriating.

We will never be paying them sponsorship money again.

Back in the FORAS days I think the players were issued with 2 sets of each kit jersey of which there were 3.

I think City had 3 kits last year and 4 the year before, so in theory there should be enough for 2 sponsors.

In any case City produce their own kit as the jacks merchant is delighted to tell everyone so sourcing a jersey for a sponsor shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds like tenacious Deccie Daly maybe if we had a couple of lads like that on the pitch last year rather than The Rob Roy lads we'd of stayed up.
