The City support there today was incredible given the inevitability of the result and the shit season put down. Great noise and colour, but the red card was the nail in the coffin, 2 really shit goals to concede as well, gave them the ball for both from City possession in the box

Before the first goal, Rovers had the territory and posession but City created 2 or 3 dangerous chances. They really defended well but once it hit 55/60 minutes you could see the legs were going and it started to feel inevitable.

Kick outs were poor (a trend in Cork teams of late ) and the red was silly. The result was no surprise. They will have a good chance to come back up next year but its hard to see them ever being secure without major change

Great day spoiled by the football. Met loads of old friends ,drank loads of beer and then the football started sadly. Always up against it but once the red card came out that was that. In heuston station waiting for my train but the good days will be back.

Well said Herb, I enjoyed the day and was great to see such a big turnout from Cork.

This team has incredible support given the shit show that’s going on particularly with the younger generation which gives me hope.

Game was over as a contest after that ridiculous tackle, what was he thinking but City had chances in the first half they should have done better with.
