Official Cork City FC/LOI thread!

🤔
Seriously though, I think it's crazy for businessmen to buy LOI clubs. Crowds are generally small and so it's impossible to break even. It's not an attractive proposition for sponsors either. Furthermore there's fierce competition from the cross-channel game on the sports channels.
Impossible to get a decent return for your money.
I don't know what the solution is tbh

This is the result of Delaney running the domestic game into the ground.

There is no money for the required fix unfortunately

It never made sense the population of the country is too small to support a professional game
The should look at the great job the GAA do and get rid of the mercenaries and base it in the community
A club GAA team would draw more support to a championship match

Bollox. We've nearly the same population as Scotland.

Croatia have a smaller population. Iceland too.

We could have double the population and still have one if the worst leagues in the developed world.

Less boxing at soccer matches now though 😉😝

Trevor Welch was on radio this morning, He said Tim Clancy had approached Colin Healy recently to offer him the assistant role,
Healy turned it down as he wanted a managerial role, Trevor hopes Caulfield will get the job,

Hearing that Caulfield could be close to the door up in Galway too.
