Off the Ball crew gone from Newstalk.

Most of the tweets hammering Hannon look to be from profiles that would agree with Kellie's tweet, so I doubt he's going to lose any sleep over it. But given his own social media history, I'd say he wished he had never asked her about the tweet in the first place. It's pretty sad if your first inclination after a great Irish Olympic moment is to go rage tweeting a no-mark radio presenter about an interview from early last year.
Nailed it.

He got exactly what he deserved m8.

His hatchet job and the subsequent pile on could have ended her career.
Why would it have ended her career? The tweet was already out there for a while, people had seen it and she was on there that morning as a brand ambassador for Spar. It clearly hadn't done her career any harm. If she had handled the interview better, that would have been the end of it. As it was, she had a few days of people commenting about it online and then the majority of people moved on. We're not going to agree on this clearly, but I honestly don't see what the big issue was with the question being asked by Hannon. If she didn't want anyone to ask her about then maybe she shouldn't have tweeted it in the first place. Or at least deleted it on reflection.

Strange hill to die on m8.

She quit social media and you had the likes of Timmy Dooley calling for Spar to end their sponsorship deal with her.

Hannon made himself look a right c*nt.

Some neck on them posting on her victory last night after they tried to get her cancelled.

I don't think it's a strange opinion. She apologised for the tweet. As I said, a quick glance on twitter shows accounts mostly obsessed with that interview are people who would clearly agree with the initial tweet.
I think most people have moved on and rightfully enjoyed and celebrated her great achievement last night.

Nobody should lose any sleep about what the likes Timmy Dooley has to say. And I don't agree with him trying to put pressure on Spar either. I don't think her tweet or subsequent interview was a good look for her, but Spar are a private business and can make their own decisions about brand ambassadors etc.

Lol you blunder in here trying to tell people what they can post about.

Giving it all holier than thou when u start Heysel posting when United lose.

Jog on.
Nope, I made a comment not aimed at anyone in particular that if they didn’t want attention drawn to that interview then maybe they should stop posting about it. As usual you felt triggered and couldn’t help yourself from rage posting in reply.
