Oasis Confirmed For Slane 2009

A press conference has just begun at Slane Castle to announce the 2009 concert. Noel Gallagher just arrived by helicopter !


So as expected, Oasis will be playing in 2009, hopefully there will be news of the support lineup shortly.

It's been announced by MCD that Oasis will play Slane on Saturday June 20th, no support announced so far.
Tickets go onsale at 8am on Friday October 24th, prices not revealed so far.

Yes Slane is a bolix to get to, and out, which is why I have stayed there overnight for the last 3 gigs I went to there for. no hastles.

no doubt there'll be plans for strong support acts on the lineup cos even Oasis know they are well past selling out an 80,000 venue on their own.

Oasis band member Gem said at the press conference that he would like REM to support them this time !

An very unlikely outcome, but the support will have to be strong all right to sell well.
