Nigel Farage nails it yet again

Carrying a knife in Ireland is illegal. We don’t have a religious exemption like the UK (ludicrous law there, they can even be carried in schools)

However the law here allows a defence if you can prove you had good reason or lawful authority for carrying the knife.
Like for example, an unemployed carpenter carrying a retractable blade that was to be used to shave a few mm off a friends door?
Someday the UK will wake up as well like we did to the Catholic Church.
Religion has no basis in laws

Farage wil use anything to stir up hate and division to further his agenda!
The irony of him only a few years ago pedalling his bile against the likes of Mr Novak Snr, coming over under EU free movement, working for less. Even more ironic is the flag shaggers over there who are right now baying for blood, are always telling us how wonderful and assimilated the Sikh community in the UK is. (It's because they don't get on with Muslims)

Indeed.

It was awful that he got killed, the killer has been sentenced to a minimum 21 years in prison, so it's not like justice hasn't been served.

Is there anything the police could have done to save his life?
Not obvious from the video there was.

Are Sikhs out there stabbing loads of people?
No.

I think even Starmer's statement is too strong on this, an inquiry into what happened with the arrest is entirely reasonable but the police weren't overly aggressive, they didn't completely ignore the Nowak's state and they called for an ambulance within 2 mins of finding him

There was a mistake putting cuffs on him but it's not like they beat the shit out of him, left him to die or ignored his condition.

As I said, the right wing are going to lose their shut about this on Twitter, there's reports of police officers names being shared...

Classic straw-man rhetoric: "Are Sikhs out there stabbing loads of people? No"
Your other fakery:
1) comparing this to the George Floyd case. It's irrelevant. The Nowak case can be judged solely on its own merits.
2) you refer to the murderer as the "Sikh lad" - poor young fella, indeed.
3) the police "didn't come across as being absolute arseholes" - sure, that's grand so.
4) likewise, the police called an ambulance "within two minutes of seeing him lying behind the car"
5) you never question why the police put handcuffs on Nowak, which goes to the core of why this is a very disturbing and relevant case.

You're not dumb. You just choose to twist arguments to your own warped prejudices. There's many more like you rhar contribute significantly to the cancer of setting one group of people against another.

1. Folks are saying the "I can't breathe" is equivalent to the Floyd case. It's not.
2. He's a Sikh lad. Not a poor young fella
3. Well, yes.
4. That's not bad, assessing the situation, and making a decision within 2 mins while the stabber is feeding bad information isn't exactly awful.
5. I don't because the information they had at the time is he was a violent drunk who had just assaulted someone. If police are dealing with someone like that, cuffing them is a sensible precaution.

What exactly are my prejudices?
I object to exactly that, setting one group against each other by claiming that there's two tier policing and that white people are being oppressed. That's exactly what Farage is claiming and that is highly, highly divisive.

Another example of Starmer being a populist Weasel, trying to save himself by appealing to gammon.

I don't think the police were setting out to be cunts, this is tragic AF, but one guy appears drunk, and the other guy is giving them the run around when they arrive on the scene, nobody is telling them the truth, and it's all over really quickly.

Tough job like.

Our local council parking warden goes around on his motorbike with no helmet, just a turban. Thought it was because he was riding a battery powered bike he was exempt until I saw another with an engine powered bike.

Religion protects them

Does he have a knife in the turban
