Eh.... FG & Labour did not "wreck the country"

That was FF and the Greens (wrong place and time victims)

The Socialist party has been rejected en-mass for good reason

As their policies are plain daft

Just listen to Ruth Coppinger for 5 minutes and the cannot even agree with each other and split every time

Oh but they did my friend, their actions over the past 5 years have done untold damage to the people

And as I said previous, had Fine Gael and Labour been in government back then we would have still ended up in the same place, in fact probably in a worse place as in opposition they were lambasting the government for not spending more.

I don't care who we elect, once they are competent and put the people, not the powerful, first

Can you say Fine Gael, Labour or Fianna Fail have done that?

The current lot for all rheir faults have just got rhe economy an "A" rating yraterday and accolades from the EU for growth figures

Ergo - competant

135,000 "people" back at work and 1,000+ "people" getting new jobs every week

Go the failed Syrizia populist look after the "people" Socialist route all you want but please call us from Athens when you get there as the"people" here have moved on to a better place

A better place? At what cost? The thousands of our youth who were forced to flee the country to find work? The thousands of elderly forced to hand out money to pay for the sins of our politicians? Or the thousands of mortgage holders stuck in negative equity thanks to the utter in professionalism of our banks in lending money?

And remember this, had Fine Gael and Labour been in government as the crisis formed we would still have been fucked, and had Fianna Fail then been elected to replace them we would still have ended up where we are.

And you want me to praise the government? Open your eyes man

The "elderly" were the least affected demograpgic in the downturn so instant fail there for a start

Cost ?

Apart from telling the only people on the planet willing to lend us a cent to "F" off what was the alternative ?

Just ask Stavros

Your if "FG and Lab" were in power is fantasy guff as they were not in power but had to come in and make tough decisions to steady the sinking ship

But you so not care as long as they are "competant" which means reality about finances not some fantasy about taxing everything and telling the people that they do not have to pay for stuff.

Anyhoo barking mad Socialists like Ruth Coppinger et al will not be in charge of anything

Thankfully

Thankfully
They implemented the austerity plan which Fianna Fail agreed with the Troice, unbelievably they then claim credit for this.

Reality about finances? They can't even add fffs, just ask the dept of finance!
These guys are looking after the elite and don't give a rats ass about Joe Public

The bottom line is all 3 traditional parties are the same, corrupt, inept and at the behest of the Denis O Brien's of this land.

We need an alternative, Alas unfortunately I don't think we have one

We do but they are barking mad economically about nationalising everything.

Ruth marching into INTEL or Apple to take over.

For the "people" ?

Austerity is only another word for spending whT you can afford after years of largessw anyway.

Again just ask the Greeks how they got on trying to avoid reform and keeping the party going while someone else paid.

Ireland is the fastest growning economy in Europe due to hard work, tough choices and the people just getting on with it as they are smart enough to know that there was no easy other way despite what Socialist tell us

So our people should Pat themselves on the back for being such a wonderful nation? And our government is just so brilliant we have to re elect them without a word of complaint?

Just for the record Ruth is not the type of politician who fits my criteria either, I wouldn't let her loose in a sweet shop.

But we need a change, it just ain't there

Yes.

"Hope and change" for the sake of it ?

Plenty of complaint out there and people are not that stupid to give themselves an accolade as trite as a "pat on the back" but maybe just get on with a better life after the last lot were incompetant and drunk at the wheel of the bus

Even Brian Cowen was drunk on Morning Ireland FFS

I'm no fan of Fianna Fail either but all the traditional parties are the same, they do what gets them power, hence the election promises we are hearing right now.
A year or so ago we had the distinct possibility of a new party being formed on the bedrock of political reform, instead we have ended up with a mish mash of new parties whos only goal seems to be to gain power. That was our lost opportunity
