He would be far more electable than AOC, whose inevitable tilt at the White House is destined for failure. I could have seen him winning back a lot of the young working and middle class male demographic Trump captured last year.

The left in the US will be hoping AOC can take this momentum and run with it. I don’t see it, although she is definitely as sharp and social media savvy as Mamdani, she doesn’t have the likability and broad appeal factor that he mastered.
