New UCC Business School goes bang

The dogs on the street knew that this was never going to go ahead.

Over €2 million in fees, consultants, design etc gone down the swanee

That's a pity, looked a really nice building and would have really regenerated that area

Would be nice if they could stick a fairly tall block of flats in there tbh.

The area looks awful already, so a minecraft building wouldn't do it any harm.

CUBS came into being when I was doing my masters, and it always felt very forced. It was someone's project for whatever reason, and I'm not surprised it hasn't lasted.

Similar to that "Keynes Centre" on South Mall across from the Imperial. Wtf was that exactly? I've yet to find someone who knows.

I think I remember what that was about

The Keynes Centre was/is run by Professor Connell M. Fanning (see Google Scholar for his publications). He was head of UCC's esteemed Economics department up to about ten years ago.
