Can you explain to me why it's such a big deal this year?

I've never once had NBA finals on my radar, but all of a sudden this year it's everywhere.

And if the Knicks are such a big team, why is it their first time in the finals since 1973? Who usually wins like?

It’s been a very exciting series with the Knicks coming back and winning 2 games they shouldn’t have in the dying seconds.

TBH it gets passed around every few years, Golden State warriors have been the most dominant team for years but outside of them it’s been various teams Oklahoma, Boston, Lakers, Cavaliers

I used be mad into it as a young fella but not so much for years, when I lived in San Francisco I used go to a few Warriors games so they would be my adopted team

It's just an odd one. Super Bowl is always talked about, as is Stanley Cup. But all of a sudden everyone is talking about the Knicks and you have Taylor Swift, Seinfeld, and Donald "Snoozy" Trump going to games.

29 points down and then they win. I have read some suggestions that the Knicks would be happy to lose the game in Texas so they can bring it back to MSG and win it at home. But surely you'd rather just get the thing sewn up ASAP

Ya it’s a funny one, definitely the least popular of the American sports, probably because they are 90% black players tbh and America is a racist shit hole

Being honest the Knicks are haunted to be up in this series they definitely don’t want to go to the last game.

Knicks are a big team but have won fuck all, only twice have they done it in their history but when they had good teams in the 80’s/90’s they came up against the greatest ever in the lakers, celtics and bulls so have been a bit unlucky too

There was a video doing the rounds last week of Knicks fans saying how much they'd paid for tickets to a game. Lads delighted with themselves that they got a bargain at $900 a ticket, with a few people saying they'd paid $10k but it was worth it.
