Must.... Own....property....

15k would surely cover insulating it?
It's not that big a house. Looks like a nice garden to it.

There's surely something else going on there.

Edit: just noticed it's single glazed. Add another 15-20 to that.

Erra they've bought the Ikea furnishings and tiled the bathroom but even a cursory scan of the pics tells you the place needs a lot of work.

The roof looks like theres been nothing done to it in 50 years. Its a semi-d and Id bet good money theres no firebreak in the attic. The original wall mounted rads in place. 80s flat roof extension which probably leaks heat.

It looks like concrete block construction with plaster. Zero insulation. To put 40 mill plaster board insulation throughout and put in new doors and windows, you'd be upto 100k before you know it.

Its the original bathroom fittings with new tiles thrown inm

What you have is a very cold house with some superficial odds and sods thrown in. To have 25% onto the sale price to bring it upto spec you'd probably get something in better nick with a lot less hassle attached.

New 30k renovation grant upto 50k if the house is a shambles wonder will it incentivise anyone.

Waste of time.
Only applies to property in towns and villages. Has to be vacant over two years, built pre 93 or derelict. They launched the scheme in July and have had a whopping 10 applications.

They've completely fu*ked it tbh. They've insisted on high density apartment building in smaller towns. This is loss making for developers. No one is going to build at a loss.

So They've introduced a 450 million apartment building scheme BUT only city built apartments are eligible.

They then have interfered in the rental market to the point that small landlords are just throwing their hat at it and selling up.

The government are rightly getting hammered on housing but its a mess of their own making. O'Brien inherited a ball of shit from Murphy but he's as bad tbh.

BER rating F.

You'd be warmer sleeping in the back garden.

They've done the cosmetic stuff but you're going to have to spend a lot getting the house properly insulated.

They must have spent all their money on cosmetic, and no clothing. one wardrobe and chest of drawers. And the baby room downstairs, the baby must be some tank.
