Must.... Own....property....

HTF is this a headline like? Wow some singer is selling his gaff, and it's a million like. It's not as if it's multi millions.

The next owner of singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy’s home at No519 South Circular Road in Dublin won’t be short of a dinner party anecdote. They can point at the fireplace where Nell McCafferty pontificated, fag in hand, or the spot where Clannad singer Moya Brennan draped herself across a sofa at Kennedy’s 40th birthday party in 2006. Or Tommy Fleming lathered on the Sudocreme …

All this property porn malarkey on the TV - it's just a sad symptom of how bad the commodification of housing has become.

"Celebrity" gaffs and such - that smug and arrogant tosser Dermot Bannon fawning over that two-faced, nasty talentless bitch Vogue Williams' huge place in England - whilst evictions are soaring, homelessness is at record levels and most of the younger generation are pretty much locked out of ever being able to afford a decent home to raise a family.

Ah but sure, 'tis grand. They can live in a shed down the back of mam and dad's garden 'til the aul wans eventually pop their clogs in 2053.

Sickening stuff...

We often hear that it's difficult for young people to save to buy, when they're also paying rents that are so high, and that's a point tbf. Having looked at the following youtube, are there other areas where they aren't willing to compromise when they could economise on ? I'm just wondering how much of a priority it is for people ?

heh x 3 when you said Neil McCafferty pontificated, I read it as deficated. Imagine Tommy and the Sudocreme then !

I see older people getting massive extensions to their semi-detached houses that must cost 6 figure sums and can take months to do, I presume these gigs are more attractive to builders than the smaller jobs that are available.
It's a good move.

From my experience, it's for their kids driving that forward.
